Shop Like a Local With Sierra Vista Farmers Markets

Living in Sierra Vista, you’ll find that all the shops and services you could need are just a short drive from your front door. However, if you prefer to get away from the traditional supermarket experience and shop more locally, you can do just that at Sierra Vista Farmers Markets.

Where and When to Shop

Sierra Vista Farmers Markets can be found at Veterans Memorial Park every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market is held all year long except on Thanksgiving and during inclement weather. There is plenty of parking at the park, which is easy to access in the heart of Sierra Vista off Fry Blvd.

A Taste of Local Vendors

Sierra Vista Farmers Markets is self-described as a local farmers based market, emphasizing locally grown foods, crafts from Southern Arizona-based artisans, and prepared foods made by local chefs. You’ll find a wide variety of ingredients to stock up your own kitchen, along with prepared foods like breads, sauces, pastas, smoked fish, jerky, and so much more. Numerous farms set up tents at the market, so you can find amazingly fresh produce, meats, and more. You will also find a variety of art pieces, small-batch soaps and cosmetics, clothing, and jewelry made in Sierra Vista and throughout Southern Arizona.

Eat Seasonally All Year Long

Shopping at your local farmers market provides an opportunity to eat seasonally by enjoying the freshest ingredients grown close to home. Southern Arizona offers the perfect climate for a wide variety of foods to be grown, including citrus fruits, nuts, berries, plums, leafy greens, grains, and so much more. You can not only feel good knowing where your food comes from, but you can also enjoy the freshest flavors and know that you’re doing your part to reduce emissions and food waste.
